The “Challenges of All-On-4 Total Rehabilitation” event, held on March 4th-5th, 2023 in Toronto, was a two-day intensive workshop led by Professor Paulo Malo. The course provided 11 CE credits and focused on the All-on-4® treatment concept, a technique designed to restore fully edentulous (toothless) patients and those with failing dentition.
The event reviewed the foundational principles of the All-on-4® concept, covering biomechanical advantages and recent advancements in the technique. Special attention was given to new implant products developed to handle challenging cases, such as atrophic maxillae (upper jaws with bone loss), using zygomatic and short implants. Clinical examples were used to demonstrate how these innovations improve success rates in complex cases.
